I had dirt floors and wasn t happy with the drainage. It is so much easier to clean and helps keep them cool in the summer. It s so easy to clean out and i don t have to worry about the wood rotting because of the linoleum. Once the dirt got compacted it was pretty well waterproof.
Twice a year i flush our barn dirt floors with baking soda and vinager then add more soil from different places on our property. The part where the goats hang out a lot is very hard almost like stone. You want a well drained soil like sand for your barn floor. Grain is stored in a metal garbage can with a tight lid.
