Bed Bugs Under Wood Floor
Sprinkle it in cracks and joints of a bed frame and in any contact points where bugs could hide for example where wood meets the floor and where a bed platform meets the mattress.

Look for them in mattress seams box springs and headboards under loose wallpaper behind light switch plates in the seams of upholstered furniture and under carpeting near baseboards. Bed bugs are on the comeback primarily because of an apparent resistance to pesticides and because of more travel by people around the world. Therefore they are usually found near beds. Hotel and motel rooms become infested and guests inadvertently spread the bugs.
Bed bugs are a dark red to brown color but they can be light brown if they haven t been feeding. The unfinished wood in the cracks are preferred substrates and hiding spots for bugs. The older the floor gets the bigger the cracks get and the more bugs they contain. Floorboards with cracks in them especially under the bed make good bed bug harborages.
The least desirable floor in my estimation is hardwood. Hence the name bed bugs. They only grow to be about 3 16 inch long and feed on blood. If you are checking a baseboard along the floor see if you can get the card between the baseboard and the floor as well as the top of the baseboard and the wall.
Bed bugs live inside and like to feed at night. However bed bugs are far more likely to live in your mattress and bedding. Bed bugs are small reddish brown insects with flattened bodies.
